Daughter Competent To Be Tried In Murder Of Dad

A Philo woman charged with killing her father has been ruled competent to stand trial. That determination was made Wednesday morning in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

19-year-old Jennifer Lynn McHenry is charged with one count of aggravated murder with a gun specification in the death of her dad, 58-year-old Donald McHenry. The Muskingum County Sheriff Office was called to 660 Irish Ridge Road on June 15th where they found Mr. McHenry in the front yard. In a 9-1-1 call Jennifer McHenry said her father tried to kill her.

McHenry is being held on a 1.5 million dollars bond. A trial date has not yet been set.
