Coshocton Couple Pleads Guilty In Scam
A Coshocton County couple pleads guilty to felony charges in a Craigslist ticket scheme. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Coshocton County Prosecutor Jason Given announced that Todd and Jessica Steinhaus posted thousands of Craigslist ads across the country using fake names and email addresses. The couple claimed to be selling hundreds of different tickets to events like the World Series, NBA Finals, the Super Bowl and dozens of concerts including Katy Perry and Kenney Chesney. Victims were scammed out of over $200,000. Mr. Steinhaus pleaded guilty to engaging in a patter of corrupt activity, having weapons while under disability and failing to register as a sex offender. He faces 17 years in prison. Mrs. Steinhaus pleaded guilty to engaging in a patter of corrupt activity and faces 11 years in prison. Both will be sentenced in early 2012.
