High School Boys Basketball:
Zanesville 40 Massillon Washington 35
The Blue Devils continute to be road warriors on the season, improving thier record away from Winland Memorial Gymnasium to 5-0, while moving thier overall tally to 6-2 on the season. Zanesville enjoyed a lead as large as seven early in the game, managing to surrender the lead just once in the second quarter to a Massillon team coached by Larry Taylor, one of Coach Scott Aronhalt’s former adverasaries while at Massillon Jackson High School.
Jake Phillis leading all scorers with 16 points, senior Kade haddox right behind him with ten points and nine rebounds. The Blue Devils are back in ECOL play next Tuesday on the road against Dover.
