Miles E. Hodgson (May 22, 1927 – January 31, 2012)

Miles E. Hodgson, 84 of Zanesville passed away at home on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. He was born on May 22, 1927 in Sayre, Ohio to John William Hodgson and Carrie (Anderson) Hodgson.

Miles worked for Wiser Oil Company for 38 years and enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WW II, was active in the VFW Post 1058, American Legion Post 29 and was part of the Senior Bowling League; bowling several times each week.

He is survived by his children: Robert (Susy), Hodgson, Jane (Tom) Edwards, Terry (Cathy Jo) Hodgson, Larry (Nan) Hodgson. 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Miles is proceeded in death by his wife Alice Hodgson, whom he married February 10, 1951 and a granddaughter Emily Hodgson.

The family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. Where visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5-7 PM. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Zion Church Cemetery in Portersville, Ohio.
