Francis C. “Frank” Hanes, of Texas, formerly of Riverside Care Center, McConnelsville, went home to be with his sweetheart of 69 years on Valentines Day, February 14, 2012 at St. Luke Hospital Vintage in Houston TX.

Frank was born May 6th 1920 in Zanesville, the son of the late Francis Bernard and Nellie (Cornilues) Hanes. He worked as a lighting specialist for Duro Test Lighting Corp and after his retirement he worked for Minera Lake Golf Course. He served his country in the US Air Force during WWII.

Frank is survived by his two daughters Linda (Mike) Croswell of Huston, TX and Lorraine (Tom) Lucas of Greenville, SC; a daughter in law Sandra Hanes of McConnelsville; a brother Jack R. Hanes of Waverly, OH; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Frank is preceded in death by his wife Betty Hanes who passed away July 22, 2010; a son Larry Hanes; a grandson Brian Lucas, a great-grandson Thomas Allen Guy and six brothers Leonard, Donald, Eugene, Richard, Jim and Joe Hanes.

Visitations will be 11 am to 1 pm Friday February 17th at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm with Rev. Barbara Morrison officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
