Michael T. Fleming, 32, of New York, NY, passed away March 3, 2012 unexpectedly at his residence.

Michael was born September 18, 1979 in Zanesville the son of Joy Fleming Gortner of Zanesville and the late Robert David Fleming. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Zanesville. He was an avid Ohio State football fan and he enjoyed working with computers. He was fulfilling his life time dream of living in New York City and working as an artist.

Michael is survived by his Mother, Joy Fleming Gortner of Zanesville; his brother Matt (Tennille) Fleming of Zanesville; his ‘little buddy’ nephew Trent and his ‘little princess’ niece Kyleigh; a special friend Nicole Kilroy of NY and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Robert David Fleming who passed away Dec. 1, 1995; his step-father Wayne Gortner; his maternal grandparents Harmon and Zelma Stotts and his paternal grandparents Robert and Eleanor Fleming.

Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am Friday with Rev. Steve Dupler and Rev. James Miller. Internment will be at a later date.
