Ruth Ann McMillen (January 2, 1932 – April 2, 2012)

Ruth Ann McMillen,80, of Zanesville went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 2, 2012 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth Ann was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 2, 1932 to the late John and Martha James Taggart. Ruth Ann was the Co-Founder of McMillen Tire Company on Beverly Avenue in Zanesville, where she served as Secretary and Treasurer for many years. She was very active at Meadow Farm Church, as she sang in the Choir and belonged to the United Methodist Women. She was also the founder of the West Ridge CCL.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years James P. McMillen of the home, two sons James Jeffrey (Patti) Mcmillen and John Timothy “Rocker” McMillen both of Zanesville, two daughters, Marsha Ann (Dave ) Porter of Marysville and Laura Jean (Pete) Sims of Dresden, two brothers, Russell (Carol) Taggart of Zanesville and Ralph (Corky) Taggart of Hopewell, seven grand-children, Randy (Allison) McMillen, Michelle (Jared) House, Kayla (Paul) Witt, Leigh Ann Porter, Kylie Tyo, Kadie Tyo, and Abbie Tyo. Five great- grand-children, Rachel, Emma, Caitlyn, Cooper, and Bailey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Kip Tyo.
Calling Hours will be 3-5 and 7-9pm on Wednesday April 4 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Paul Ashbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
