Fred A. Wilson (February 24, 1919 – April 15, 2012)

Fred Addis Wilson, 93 of Zanesville passed away at 7:40p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Forest View Health Campus.
He was born February 24, 1919 in Crooksville, Ohio the son of late Curtis Wilson and Alice Baumgardner Wilson. He was the Owner of Wilson Tractor & Equipment Company in Zanesville until his retirement in 1980. Fred Proudly served our country in the 1107th Army Air Force Base Unit as a Technical Sergeant, Crew Chief on a C-47 Airplane during World War II. He enjoyed building and flying Model Radio controlled airplanes, growing tomatoes, was an avid Glenn Miller Band Collector and enjoyed photography.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Lou Moore Wilson. Daughter Claudia (the late John) Hammack of Dunnellon, FL, Marina (Mark) Stapleton of Cornelius, NC, Mark (Beth) Wilson of Granville, Ohio. Grandchildren: Stephanie (Nathan) Longo Pataskala, OH; Olivia Wilson and Brett Wilson both of Granville, OH and Kaylyn Stapleton, Cornelius, NC. Nieces: Patricia Schmidt of Green Valley, AZ, and Constance Schmidt of Maple Grove MN.
In addition to his parents Fred is preceded in death by his brothers Conrad and David Wilson and Sisters Milddred Heinrich and Avalyn Bernahard.
The family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. where friends may call from 1 PM until time of service at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Interment will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
