Emmyline Beth Shilling (December 19, 1926 – June 10, 2012)

Emmyline “Beth” Shilling, 85, of Duncan Falls passed away at 5:30 pm Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Autumn Health Care.

Beth was born December 19, 1926 in Malta, the daughter of the late Forma and Iona (Patterson) Shrivers. She was a member of the Central Trinity United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, the United Methodist Church Women, the Willing Workers, Twin Cities Garden Club, Philo / Duncan Falls Homemakers Club, Philo Card Club, senior Center, Past 1st lady of the Land-o-Lake Airstream Club and she volunteered for the Franklin Local School District for several years.

Beth is survived by her children Katha Mercer of Duncan Falls, Phil (Dixie) Shilling of Duncan Falls and Mara (Bruce) Morrison of Philo; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, Beth is preceded in death by her husband James M. Shilling who passed away Sept 19, 2001; two brothers Bernard and Billy Shrivers, a sister Beulah Kincaid and a son-in-law John Mercer.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday with Rev. Tom England officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
