John Unger (September 23, 1918 – October 25, 2013)

John Unger, 95, of Zanesville passed away Friday, October 25, 2013, at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.
John was born in September 23, 1918 to the late John , Sr. and Essie Miller Unger. He was the retired owner of John Unger Drilling Company. He was a member of the Elks and American Legion. He proudly served our country and protected our freedom in The US Army During WWII>
He is survived by his loving wife Virginia DeVore Unger of the home, a son John (Pam) Unger of Duncan Falls, a step-sister Geraldine Johnson of Texas, Five grandchildren; Travis, Justin (Erica), Todd (LeAnn), Timmy, and David, nine Great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Tim Unger and a grandson Jason Unger.
The Family has entrusted THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD to handle cremation services.
