Evelyn Fern Hardcastle (May 10, 1915 – October 25, 2013)
Evelyn Fern Hardcastle, 98 of Zanesville died 8:45pm Friday October 25 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 10, 1915 in Zanesville the daughter of Fern and Ethel Crebs Osborne. She had been a resident of the Zanesville area most of her life & had been a member of the Grace United Methodist Church for over 86 years. Evelyn was a member of the Order of Eatern Star #485, White Shrine of Jerusalem #8, and was a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Becky (Sid) Short, Cindy (Rick) Lawyer & Susan (Joe) Tyson; two sons Wood (Patti) Hardcastle & James P. (Nancy Omen) Hardcastle. Ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death in addition to her parents were two brothers Charles Osborne & George Lee Osborne, an infant brother, two sisters Stella Osborne & Kathleen Osborne Franke.
Friends may call from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Sunday October 27th at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Monday October 28th at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve McGuire officiating. Burial will conclude at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
