Man Indicted In Purse Snatching

Zanesville Police say an area man has been indicted by a Muskingum County Grand Jury in connection with a purse snatching incident where two people were hurt. Detective Ric Roush says on January 11th around 3:30 in the afternoon outside the Pick N’ Save on Howard Street a 64-year-old female victim received minor injuries as did a 37-year-old female witness who tried to help the victim catch the suspect. Roush says 24-year-old Frank Mihelich Jr. of Zanesville was caught by police a short time later and now faces multiple charges including robbery, theft of a credit card and petty theft. Mehelich remains in the Zanesville City Jail until his arraignment next Wednesday.
