Charles L. “Chuck” Herron (February 16, 2014 – May 19, 2014)

Charles L. “Chuck” Herron, age 66 of Trinway, OH passed away Monday May 19, 2014 at 9:41 am after his battle with lung cancer at Morrison House, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 16, 1948 in Zanesville, OH and was the son of Asa O. Herron and Esther Herron (Metz).
Chuck was retired from Triple A Maintenance as a carpenter, he was a former Highway State Patrolman and was also a basket weaver for the Longaberger Company. He was an avid golfer and spent his time officiating for various sporting events.
He is survived by his family: two sons; Colonel Sean (Christy) Herron of Carlisle, PA, Steve ( Keely) Herron of Zanesville, OH a daughter; Shanna (Michael) Brooks of Gratiot, OH Grandchildren: Cory Hoskinson, Matthew Herron, Megan Herron, and Madison Brooks. Brother’s Art (Sandy) Herron, Roger (Sue) Herron, Bob (Holly) Herron, Andy (Julie) Herron, his Sister: Mary Herron, several nieces and nephews and his special friend Trudy Harper of Dresden, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tracy Herron, and a sister Peggy Stewart.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 24, 2014 at Rix Mills Presbyterian Church with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.
