Zanesville wants “Tebowed”

An effort is underway to bring Denver Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow to Zanesville.

Youth Pastor Adam King of the New Hope Full Gospel Church said Tebow is available to speak the week of their annual Restoration Event- geared toward bringing kids closer to Christ- all they have to do now is raise the money.

"We decided with Tim Tebow because of the theme we have this year which is the Restoration Displayed," said King. "One of the sessions we wanted to focus on is encouraging the kids to let God display them in their community, and whose been more displayed all over the globe, the world, and especially the nation than Tim Tebow and sports."

King couldn’t release the details of how much a visit from Tim Tebow runs, but said the agency was reassuring the amount discussed would likely be enough. King said money raised by Tebow during speaking events is donated to the Philippians in an effort to build a children’s hospital.

"Tim obviously when he was drafted by the Broncos signed a pretty major contract, so he doesn’t need the money," said King. "Tim is an outstanding guy, he’s a faith-based guy, he has relationship with God which is something we want to inspire our kids to have locally in Zanesville. "
