Arthur M.Danison (March 30, 1940 – January 13, 2015)

Arthur M. Danison, 74, of Roseville, OH went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 13, 2015 at 12:30 a.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 30, 1940 in New Lexington, OH, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Penrod) Danison.
He was employed by the Ohio Ferro Alloy in Philo for over 20 years and retired from the Simetco plant in Mt. Meigs, Alabama. Following his retirement, he finished his career at One Transportation and the Cesco Ferro Plant.
He attended the Duncan Falls Baptist Church and was a member of the Muskingum County Country Music Hall of Fame and Perry Country Club.
His passion for music touched many lives. He had a beautiful singing voice and played the guitar. He was a member of the Savage Family Band and enjoyed playing with the Cy-Cathena Band with his sons, Mike and Rick and friend Mike Adams. He played in church with his wife and son and at nursing homes with his friends Mike Hanf and Cheryl Ellwood.
He was the number one fan of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in any endeavor they pursued. You could always count on him to be there for love and support. He loved spending time with his friends and his true devotion was to his wife and family.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Clara (Savage) Danison whom he married in June of 1960; children Crystal Cable, Kim Benincasa, Mike (Caralee) Danison and Jodi (Mike) Paul; daughter-in-law Lori Danison; sister Sandy (Ed) Barringer; grandchildren Misty White, Shawn (Lynsey) Cable, Jamie (Josh) Joseph, Jessica Stanley, Kiltti Benincasa, Kane Danison, Cadelee (Brandon) Bankes, Olivia Danison, Mikalynn Danison, Carter Paul, Jiles Paul, Ricky (Michelle) Danison, Jacob Danison and Syndney (Jesse) French; great grandchildren Mykensie and Jaelynn White, Marcus and Joslyn Cable, Oscar and Stella Joseph, Blaine and Jhett Stanley, Kynnlee and Coy Danison, Kage Danison and Addison French; special friend and grounds keeper, Harold Pitts; brother-in-laws Donald Savage and Jim (Sandy) Savage; sister-in-laws Lena Luckett, Kay Smith and Edna Danison and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son Rick Danison, Brother Delmar Danison; brother-in-law Roger Smith; sister-in-law Donna Savage and Nephew Jimmy Dickerson.
Calling hours will be held from 4-8pm, Thursday January 15, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 104 N. Main St., Roseville. Memorial services will be held at the church, on Friday at 2pm with Pastor Gerry Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
