Bonita Joan Porter Cover, 76 of Zanesville was welcomed to heaven at 10:50 PM Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Cedar Hill Care Center.
She was born on April 13, 1939 in Zanesville the daughter of Ralph E. and Lucile T. (Dickson) Porter.
Bonita was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Hopewell High School, a member of Gratiot United Methodist Church & Coburn United Methodist Church. She was employed by West Muskingum Schools, where she served as school secretary at Dillon Elementary and made many lifelong friends with her coworkers. She enjoyed reading, music, enjoyed being a part of her card club and Hannah Circle. Bonita loved spending time with her family & watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events.
Bonita is survived by her four children, Kim (Dave) Peadon, Chris (Connie) Cover, Cindy (Clint) Cameron and Robin (Don) Wildermuth; Grandchildren, Zac (Lindsay) Peadon, Curt Cameron, Alayna (Justin) Dick, Clay Cameron, Bailey (KC) Doup & Parker Bryan; Great Grandchildren, Hayden, Bristol, Addison, Greyson & Caroline; three sisters, Phyllis (Al) O’Donnell, her twin Barbara (Robert) Mahaffey and Robin (Floyd) Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph “Rollie” Porter & Daniel Porter.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday, June 2nd at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, where Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday June 3rd with Dr. Dennis Baker officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
