William E. Williams Jr. (February 18, 1943 – June 16, 2015)
William E. “Bill†Williams Jr., 72, of Zanesville, died at 12:08 A.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born February 18, 1943, in White Cottage, a son of the late William E. “Ed†and Helen Marie Kendall Williams Sr. He was a retired furnace operator from Ohio Ferro Alloy, and later he worked at Shelly and Sands, was self-employed, and was the owner of Bill’s Auto Sales. Bill was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, an avid car show and street rod enthusiast, and a member of the Y-City Muskies Camping Club. Bill loved spending his winters in Florida and was a strong family man.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Susan E. Williams, whom he married on Nov 25, 1962; a daughter, Sheryle (Brian) Dew; two sons, William (Amista) Williams III and Douglas (Julie) Williams; eight grandchildren, Jim (Shanna) Dew, Molly (Seth) Blagg, Abby (Curt) Luning, Kate-lyn (Josh Edgell) Dew, Kraig Dew, Megan (Jordan) Dunnington, Douglas Reid (Kelsey Lawver) Williams, and Hannah Williams; seven great grandchildren with two more on the way; his canine kids, Hank and Gracie; two brothers; and three sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Anthony D. Kelly.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015, with Chaplain Rob Morris officiating. He will be entombed at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with military honors being presented by the VFW George Selsam Post #1058.
