Alice J. Maxwell (July 3, 1936 – June 28, 2015)

Alice J. Maxwell age 78 of Zanesville passed away Sunday June 28, 2015 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born July 3, 1936 in Lima, OH and was the daughter of the late Leroy and Marcella High Wille.
Alice was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. She graduated from Ohio University with bachelor degree in education. She was a former teacher at Frazeysburg Elementary (1968-1971), former employee of Putnam Transfer and retired from Clemson University.
Surviving are three daughters: Terri (Gary) Hancharik of McKinney, Texas; Leslie (Rex Oechsle) Woodard of Chillicothe, Ohio and Dawn Maxwell of Dallas, TX Grandchildren: Brad (Jessica Rollins) Hancharik of Syracuse, NY; Todd (Jenny) Woodard of Zanesville, Megan Hancharick of Dallas, TX; Eric Woodard of Zanesville and Alex (Kaitlin) Woodard of Cambridge. Great grand children: Jesse Gutierrez and Ashley James of Dallas, TX; Lainey Prouty of Cambridge and Hayden Woodard of Zanesville; a sister Rosalyn Taylor of Zanesville and a brother James (Susan) Wille of Gahanna.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother- in- law Andrew Taylor.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 16th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with family to recieve friends one hour before service. The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
