Connie Irene Strain (March 17, 1935 – July 4, 2015)

ZANESVILLE

Connie Irene Strain, 80 of Zanesville, passed away Saturday July 4, 2015 at Primrose Retirement Community. She was born in Lafayette, OH on March 17, 1935, a daughter to the late Edgar and Lula Clark Anderson. She graduated from the Lima Memorial School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and retired from Bethesda Hospital where she worked as a psychiatric nurse for many years. She enjoyed sewing, horses and going to auctions. Over the years she was a “Mother” figure to many people and was always looking out for family, friends and co-workers.
Connie loved spending time and making memories with her family, two daughters Denise I. (Cognion) Kenneth Williams and Lonna C. (Cognion) Mike German; four grandsons Derek and Marcus (Kelly) Williams and Jason and Brandon German; one great-grandson Brady German.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Anderson.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday July 8, 2015 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Irville Cemetery.
