Liz A. Hormann, 76, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at 7:55 AM, Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Adams Lane Care Center. She was born on July 2, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Herman and Margery Ellen May Colbert. She married the love of her life, Donald “Don” M. Hormann on April of 1960. Liz loved gardening, spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren were her greatest desires. Her most recent employer was the Home Depot, where she enjoyed working in the garden area.
She is survived by a son, Sean E. Hormann of Zanesville; a daughter, Kimberly A. (Tony) West of Zanesville; 8 grandchildren, Michael Hormann, Nickolas Large, Michelle Large, Chelsey Large, Damen Hormann, Gavin Hormann, Preston Bennett, Jayleen Bennett, and a great granddaughter, Mireyha R. Reese. “Liz” was preceded in death In addition to her parents by her loving husband, Donald M. Hormann, and two sons, Michael R. Hormann, Oct. 31, 1984, and Jeffry Murl Hormann, Dec. 8, 1998.
Honoring the family and Liz’s request there will be no public visitation or funeral services observed, and a dignified cremation will take place. However there will be an open house at 3925 Mayhew Drive, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701, Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 5pm to 7pm.
