Harold Lloyd Hartley 85 of Duncan Falls, a former U.S. Army Soldier and Soldier in the Lord’s Army went home on Veterans Day November 11, 2015 in Cambridge.
He was born on November 20, 1929 to the late Howard and Laura Mildred Smith Hartley. Harold served our Country and protected our freedom in the U.S. Army. Harold retired from Rockwell and was a former Pastor at San Toy and Zion Wesleyan Church. His love for the Lord and his family was very evident as he was a faithful member of Zanesville Bible Methodist Church.
He is survived by three daughters: Marilyn (Bruce) Archibald of Duncan Falls, Diana (Paul) Byer of Columbus, and Sandra (John) Stigall of Danville, a brother Robert Hartley of Wooster, a sister Pauline Garver of Wooster, 12 grandchildren: Sierrah Archibald, Orion Archibald, Micah (Lauren) Archibald, SGT Jonathan Byer, CPL Joshua (Kami) Byer, SGT Anthony (Ashley) Hartley, Paul Stigall, Private Kenneth (Brittany) Stigall, Jack (Chantay) Stigall, April Stemm, Aaron Caw, and Amber (Eric) Reed, 25 great-grandchildren, foster children Larry Taylor, Tonya Williams, and Sherri (J.R.) Crum.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rozella Hartley on April 6, 2008, a daughter Beverly Bebout on June 1, 2000, a brother Cecil Hartley, five Sisters: Irene Mills, Jean Hickerson, Betty Gianotto, Lucille Greuey, and Marjorie Snyder.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Meridain Assisted Living and Guernsey Hospice for their outstanding care.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Sunday November 15 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Bill Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors conducted by George Selsam VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
