Christina P. Ragias (October 20, 1927 – January 24, 2016)

Christina P. Ragias, 88 of Zanesville passed away peacefully in her home on January 24, 2016. Christina was born on October 20, 1927 in Kosmas Kynourias, Greece.
She immigrated to the United States in 1951 with her husband Pete and children Maria and George, and then had Argirios, Gregorios, and Paul. Christina and her husband purchased Katsampes Restaurant and candy store in 1966. She hand dipped all of the chocolates and they ran the business until their retirement in 1988. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Throughout her life she loved unconditionally. Christina was a member of The Annunciation Cathedral Greek Orthodox 555 North High Street Columbus, Ohio 43215.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete of 55 years, parents; Argirios and Argiro Manolias, sister; Maria (Manoli) Zoros and a grandson; Nickolas Shepherd.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Maria (Pete) Gesouras, sons; George, Argirios (Cia), Gregorios (Denise) And Paul (Nancy). Grandchildren; Athanasia (James) Regules, Christina (Arny) Martin, George and Kallie Gesouras, Peter, Alesx, Christina (Andrew) Georgeopolous, Christos (Eleni), Pete (fiancée Andrea), Eoanna and Marie Ragias. Five great-grandchildren a brother; John (Argiro) Manolias and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday January 28, 2016 and one hour prior to services at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 West Military Road Zanesville, Ohio 43710. A Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday January 29, 2016 in the Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel with Father Demetrios Gardikes, Father Dean Kokanos and Father John Stavropoulos officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
