Foxfire Superintendent Faces Assault Charge

The Superintendent of the Foxfire School for Student Success is facing an assault charge in connection with a weekend incident. Zanesville Police reports indicate that they were called to 1069 Terrace Court Saturday morning after Troi Allen reported being punched in the face by Todd Whiteman. Zanesville Municipal Court records indicate that Whiteman is facing a first degree misdemeanor assault charge. He is scheduled to be in court Friday at 9 a.m. Whiteman is also the Maysville High School boys head basketball coach. Maysville Superintendent Monte Bainter says Whiteman has been placed on paid leave while the incident is investigated. The President of the Foxfire High School Board Steve Desrosiers says the board has been in contact with their attorney and want to get all the facts before taking any action. Desrosiers says allegations against Whiteman do not involve Foxfire Schools or its students and no further information will be released at this time. Whiteman or his attorney has not yet responded to a request for comment.
