WHIZ’s Kelly Mills Welcomes A New Family Member!

We are proud to announce that WHIZ’s very own Kelly Mills delivered a beauitful healthy baby boy, Grant Michael Mills!

Weighing in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches long, Kelly gave birth at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday. She says during her almost 12 hours of labor, she tried to remember all of the things she learned in her pregnancy series but says when you’re actually in the situation, it is a bit different.

"They asked me at the beginning of labor what my pain level was and I said I don’t know what ten is yet but later in the day, I got to experience what level 10 pain is but now I’m doing better," says Mills.

As for the new bundle of joy, he is healthy, doing well and already adopting some of mom’s personality.

"He’s great, he likes attention. He’s like his mom. He will cry a little but if you pick him up he stops. He sleeps and he’s a really good baby so far for the first 24 hours with him. "

As for JK Mills, fatherhood will be a new, challenging, yet exciting chapter in his life.

"Very nervous. I knew it was a lot of responsibility but until the baby is born, it kind of hits you right in the mouth that your in charge of this little human, " says Grant’s Father JK Mills.

The Mills get to take the newest member of their family home tomorrow and are excited to kick off 2011 as proud new parents.
