Body Found in Guernsey County

According to the Guernsey County Sheriff Department’s website, at approximately 2:30 am on Sunday, February 13 the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a motorist who reported finding a man’s body laying beside Howell Road in Spencer Township.

Deputies discovered the body of a  white male  in his early 30s. He was found without any identification. The case is being investigated as a homicide. The victim was shot. No vehicles were found in the immediate area.

The body has since been taken to Licking County for an autopsy and for identification.  Deputies are continuing to investigate this case. We will bring you more information as soon as possible.
