After being ranked eighth by the Associated Press in their first poll of the season on Tuesday, the Zanesville Lady Blue Devils struggled, but got the job done in a double digit victory.  the Colts jumped out of the gate 5-0 and actually lead 9-8 at the end of the first quarter, but Zanesville remained tough, closing the second quarter on a 9-1 run to take a 21-14 halftime lead and never looked back.  The Blue Devils have a week to improve as they don’t hit the court again until next Wednesday at Dover.

Crooksville 32 West Muskingum 58

The Lady Nadoes remain perfect in MVL play with a big victory over the Ceramics. It was a balanced scoring attack from West, as Amy Graham was the only player in double figures with 15 points. The Tornadoes return to the floor Saturday at Sheridan, while Crooksville will host New Lexington.

John Glenn 33 Tri-Valley 48

The Lady Dawgs bounce back from a loss over the weekend to Maysville, disposing of the Muskies by a 15 point margin. Tri-Valley used a 10-0 run in the first quarter to set the tone at the Dawg House, never looking back. Two Scottie seniors pacing the team tonight: Amariah Huck had 15 points, while Rachel king contributed 12 to the cause.

Sheridan 58 Maysville 64 OT

The Panthers avoid another Wednesday slip-up with an overtime win over Sheridan. Maysville (9-2, 7-2) avoids a third MVL loss, keeping them on pace with unbeaten West Muskingum and tied with Tri-Valley in MVL play. Senior Karen Sidwell the leading scorer with 24 points, while Jordan Gittings led Sheridan in the loss with 16 points. The Generals will have a chance to be the first league team to defeat West Muskingum as they travel to Ankrum Gymnasium Saturday.
