Man Dies In Fairfield County Accident

One man is dead after a crash on State Route 188 south of Pleasantville.

The State Highway Patrol said around 7 p.m. a Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling eastbound when it went off the left side of the road, drove through a field and struck a trailer.

The driver was the only person involved in the crash.  He suffered a heart attack before the accident and died at the scene.  The man has been identified as 72-year-old Donald Brunney of Pleasantville.

The Pleasant Township Fire Department also responded to the scene.  The crash remains under investigation.
