One Dead After School Shooting In Chardon/Suspect In Custody
At a noon press conference Chardon Police officials said one person has died and four others are injured after a shooting at a northeast Ohio high school. Civil deputy Erin Knife with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday at Chardon High School. Five students were injured. Knife says a single person suspected in the shooting is now in custody. Schools in the area are locked down. FBI Agent Scott Wilson would not discuss the extent of the students injuries. The Cleveland Plain Dealer is identifying the shooting suspect as T.J.Lane. The slain student is identified as Daniel Parmertor. A student who escaped says Lane was known as an outcast and had apparenlty been bullied. Chardon is about 30 miles east of Cleveland
