Bomb Threat At Perry County Courthouse

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says the Courthouse was closed for a short time Tuesday after a bomb threat.  The Sheriff says at around 12:30 p.m. deputies received information from the New Lexington Police Department about a bomb threat at the Court House.  Sheriff Barker says the facility was evacuated and secured. Then the Muskingum County K-9 Unit was brought in for a sweep and no devices were found.  The Courthouse was then reopened for business.  The incident remains under investigation.
