Adam Siddle Named In Embezzlement Case At Washington Township Fire Department

The Washington Township Fire Department is working to bring a case against Adam Siddle, who served as President and Assistant Fire Chief. Siddle has since been removed from those duties.

Susan McDonald, attorney for the department, named Siddle as the man behind the alleged embezzlement at Washington Township Fire Department. At this time, it is believed that he was acting alone. McDonald says that they are currently working with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations to perform a forensic audit to generate proof beyond a reasonable doubt against Siddle. Information obtained through the audit will be brought to the prosecutor who will look through the evidence and file charges.

As for the insurance issue, beginning at 3:00 Tuesday, the Washington Township Fire Department was back up and running. McDonald says that the fire department appreciates the willingness of the surrounding departments to cover runs while that insurance issue was handled.

If you have any information or tips that could help in this investigation McDonald asks to please contact her, (740)452-7555 or Detective Todd Mahle with the Muskingum County Sheriffs Department, (740)452-3637.
