Jaycee’s host C-Day Event

If you have extra belongings that you no longer need, you can have them picked up from your home this weekend.

Saturday the Zanesville Jaycee’s will be hosting their annual C-Day event, formally known as Canister Day. They will be collecting items such as furniture, clothes, toys and canned goods. Zanesville Jaycee President, Mike Fulmer discussed how they will be collecting these items.

"Well, we’ll be up at WHIZ taking calls at the radio station, so we’ll be broadcasting all over the coverage area. So, anybody that has stuff that they wanna donate can call in, you know, if we have time, if we have enough resources, we’ll come out and get it."

All the donations will be brought to The Salvation Army in Zanesville with the exception of the furniture which will be brought to the Life Well Furniture Bank.

"Yeah, it’s a great opportunity, you know everybody’s got stuff laying around they want to get rid of, this is a chance to do that. Give us a call, we’ll come pick it up, we’ll get it out of your hair for you."

The event will be broadcast live on AM 1240 and will run from 9 A.M. until noon on Saturday.
