Fire Damages Home On Indiana Street

A Zanesville home was heavily damaged in an Friday morning fire. It happened at 1228 Indiana Street just after 6 o’clock. Firefighter Chad James says Earl Snyder and another person were home at the time of the fire, but were able to escape. James says a dog and a cat died in the blaze. Most of the damage occurred to the back of the home. James says the cause of the fire is under investigation but it appears to have been an electrical problem. The Muskingum Valley Red Cross was also on the scene of the fire.
