Ulster Club Raises Funds For Keri Nichols Foundation

The Ulster Club at Muskingum University is raising funds for an important cause.
6 year old Ryan Nichols of New Concord recently lost his mom, Keri, to a fatal car accident. It happened about two weeks ago. The Ulster Club is raising money for the 6 year old’s future education. Brett Bender, member of the Ulster Club told us why they chose this cause.
"It kind of means a lot to our club. We wouldn’t be trying so hard and we wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t really important. The family really needs money and we’re in a position where we actually can help."
The club hopes to raise $1,000. They will be fundraising in a few different ways. One will be through an event called Pie and Ulster where you can pay to throw a pie in the face of an Ulster member. They will be helping Wally’s sell pizza and there will also be a benefit concert at the Crumb and Cup coffee shop on December 9th, 2014 from 5:30PM to 8:30PM. Bender encouraged everyone to donate.
"If you’re considering donating just know that this is an actual cause that helps your community. You will be making a difference if you do choose to donate and it will mean the world to this family who has been through a terrible tragedy."
The club will be taking donations through mid-December. To donate you can do so by calling the number: (440)665-9662 (Ask for Brett)
