Adamsville Fire Department Spaghetti Dinner For The Shinn's

Tragedy struck Adamsville last Monday when Adam Shinn died during a hunting accident. Today, December 7th, the Adamsville Fire Department showed their support for Shinn’s family by hosting a spaghetti dinner benefit.

Many members of the community including hundreds of the Shinn family’s friends, neighbors and supporters showed up for the spaghetti dinner. They all enjoyed the five dollar meal provided by the Adamsville Fire Department.

Bill Reed from the Adamsville Fire Department stated, "Our fire department just decided to continue and do what we can for the family and for Dave, he’s been one of our members for about 50 years. It was his son Adam, and we’re just trying to do what we can do help out in this tragic situation."

Aside from the spaghetti dinner the fire department also had a silent auction and raffle. The Shinn’s will receive all proceeds from the dinner to help cover the costs of the funeral.

"I’m seeing people here that I hadn’t seen in a long time and it just makes your heart melt when you see people coming out and helping out, and supporting the family in this way," said Reed.

The money raised at today’s spaghetti dinner will go a long way in helping out the Shinn family during this difficult time.
