WInter Tourism in Muskingum County

As winter seems to drag on and on you may develop a sense of cabin fever.
But Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, Kelly Ashby, said Muskingum County is waiting for you. Ashby said even in the winter months there are plenty of things to do around the county. Those willing to brave the could can experience the two area state parks.
“There’s fun things to do in the outdoors,” Ashby said. “Lots of things to do at our state parks, so check out Dillon and Blue Rock State Parks. Dillon specifically has great cabins in the winter months and you can do some perfect sled riding at Dillon State Park as well.”
And for those more inclined to stay inside Ashby said shows are always going on at the multitude of theaters around the area.
“There’s also lots of great shows and theater that happen in the winter months,” Ashby said. “So certainly encourage people to check out visitzanesville.com and click on the calendar of events because there’s really wonderful shows taking place at Secrest Auditorium, the Renner and Zanesville Community Theatre.”
Ashby said tourism is big across Muskingum County all year as it brings in around $175 million annually to the county.
