Z-ville Man Pleads Not Guilty to Child Rape

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says a Zanesville man pled not guilty to the rape of a child less than 10 years old. 36-year-old Richard Denney Jr. is charged with two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, both with sexually violent predator specifications. Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Denney’s bond at one-million dollars. The prosecutor’s office says the offense date was between August and December of 2014. If convicted Denney could face life in prison without parole.
