A Grand Entrance at the Macy’s Parade

Thanksgiving Day was spent in the Big Apple for a local group and two Crooksville teens.

During the 83rd Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade biked through Herald Square in front of a crowd of thousands. The tricycle drill teams has performed for crowds for 10 years and staying true to their Ohio roots the group performed to the tune "Hang on Sloopy."

Also in Thursday’s parade were two Crooksville teens that performed as part of  Varsity Cheer. It was Nicole Keister and Kayla Gorby’s first trip to New York and only only helped open the parade, they also got to march in right before Santa’s sleigh.

And representing Ohio was the Pickerington Central Marching Band. More than ten thousand people participated in the parade which features 35 novelty balloons and 24 floats.
