A Kiwanis Christmas
ZANESVILLE, OH –The Kiwanis Christmas party took place at the West Muskingum Booster Hall.
Their beloved annual event is known for bringing joy to local children during the holiday season. The children had to opportunity to eat pizza, listen to Christmas music, and of course, open their gifts.
Kiwanis Christmas Organizer Bridget Tetak talks about her involvement in the event.
“All year long the Zanesville Kiwanis Club and our community partners work to raise funds to make Christmas happen. This is our largest year; we have 84 kids here and that’s a significant increase from last year. We have added Foxfire schools to our list of students that will be in attendance, so we’re really excited about that.”
The Kiwanis Christmas party has been going on for decades and every year it grows bigger and better. This year they welcomed special guests who helped make the event memorable for the children in attendance.
“So, we have Frosty and Rudolph coming, Santa will make his appearance and luckily with the help of some of our local Key Club students, Santa’s job will be a little bit easier,” Tetak shared. “The Key Club students play a very important role in our fundraising throughout the year with our peanut sale, they are vital to this event going very smoothly because they will sit with students, they’ll interact, they’ll help with their lunch, help with their presents and they’re just a very key part to the success of this day.”
Kiwanis would like to extend a special thank you to their community partners as well as the community as a whole for allowing this special Christmas party to take place year after year.
