A Storybook Christmas
The elves at Santa’s workshop aren’t the only ones that are working hard to get downtown Zanesville ready for the holiday season.
The family owned business, Goss Supply Company along with several other volunteers are helping to make, what is called a story book Christmas come to life.
All of the decorations were purchased nearly 3 decades ago and each display has been either remade or rebuilt.
“Well, a lot of people remember over the years the displays that Terry would have here in the window. They always spoke really highly of it and wondered what have happened to it. So that’s why we started looking into it and thought well, can we bring some of those back and get them in working order,” said Rick Mautz.
Company President Terry Goss told us, his dad originally purchased the displays in the 1970’s, and he told us he remembers sharing his Christmas with the community.
“Excited, I had good Christmas’s growing up and good memories of Christmas. It’s a little different today than it was back then but, it was always exciting to be able to share my childhood with other children,” said Terry Goss.
You will find the Story Book Christmas on display at Goss Supply Company on Marietta street as well as American Light on main street and the Tree House on market and fourth.
