A Vaccination Free-For-All

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local drugstore will be working with area residents to make sure they are up-to-date on their vaccinations.

Walgreens, located at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Military Road will be offering a drive up vaccination clinic from 9-to-5, on Monday, October 5th.

“So really we’re just setting it up for the convenience of the community. People who may not have a lot of time to come inside and wait. They just want to pull up, get in and get out; also for the convenience of people who may be disabled; not able to get out of their car and come inside. So we just want to help get our community vaccinated and protected,” Pharmacy Operations Manager Tanner Wisecarver said. “There is a Q-R Code listed on the community board. You can also stop in the store or go online. You can register for an appointment or can just pop right in and walk in. We’ll be happy to help you. We’re going to be giving out these little goodie bags here,” Store Manager Kassey Jenkins added.

Walgreens will be offering multiple vaccines and boosters designed to prevent a wide range of illnesses, such as: pneumonia, flu, covid-19, RSV, as well as Tdap, shingles and hepatitis B.

“We’ll also be at the pavilion at the fairgrounds on October 16th, from 9-to-3,” Jenkins said. “And that’s also another drive-up vaccine clinic, where we will offer free flu and covid vaccines. We just want to help do something different. I know that the fairground thing got cancelled and when everyone… I know there’s a lot of people who maybe can’t get out of their car or maybe you’ve got kids and it’s a hassle to come inside. So we just want to be able to it. Convenience from your car, get you in and out as quickly as possible. The fairgrounds website is going to post those along with their employees putting it on their social media, so just watch out for those as well.”
