AAA Publishes New Survey Findings

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio-The American Automobile Association recently completed a national survey on travel plans during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to spokeswoman Kimberly Schwind the vast majority of planned vacations have been delayed, cancelled or modified in some way.
“AAA just did a survey to see what travellers are thinking through the end of the year and we found that about 63% of people said they aren’t going to travel this year because of concerns about the coronavirus, mainly. So we are seeing people pulling back and waiting until the last minute, and those that are travelling, they’re waiting till the last minute or they’re wasting until next year.”
Even with the half in travel seen in the last few months Schwind says that future travel can be cheap if planned soon.
“You can still get some really great deals on flights, cruises, tours, really travel companies are getting back to getting people comfortable with travel. Again, they’re setting up for the future, because we’re not even seeing cruises really going right now. So you can’t take a cruise for the most part right now in the United States, but you can plan ahead to the future.”
Appointments with local AAA travel agents can be made by phone or on the AAA website.
