Abbot’s Annual Book and Media Sale

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Abbot Senior Living is an affordable senior living facility that provides their residents with fun occasions that encourage social interaction. 

Executive Director Kevin Pinson announced an upcoming, annual fundraiser that benefits the residents by funding those opportunities for fun.

“We’ve been doing this for several years now,” Pinson said. “We have it twice a year. Our spring sale is this Thursday. That is from 10 to 4 p.m. And folks can come in and get books, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles and it’s all by donation. They set their own price. All the proceeds will be used to fund activities for our seniors.”

Pinson noted that the fundraiser helps keep the costs low to maintain affordability for the residents.

“The big one is bingo, we buy prizes and we play bingo twice a week so a lot of that’s for prizes,” Pinson said. “We also bring in live entertainment and other things as well.  You know with the warm weather coming we’re going to have cookouts on the patio and those are a little more expensive than our usual meals that we serve here, so the funds will help provide a nice meal and bring in some entertainment as well for the patio cookouts.”

Pinson added that they are always looking for popular items to offer the public and anyone wishing to donate can stop by anytime. Abbot Senior Living located at 1258 Greenwood Avenue.
