Accident at Adair and Linden Sends One to Hospital

An accident Tuesday night resulted in the driver of a scooter being sent to the hospital.

According to Zanesville Police, the accident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Adair Avenue. Police said the driver of a white Chevy pickup truck made an illegal left hand turn and struck the scooter. The truck then fled the scene. The sheriff’s office was able to track down the vehicle a short while after on Dale Road.

The driver of the scooter, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported by Community Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital with unknown injuries. In addition to making an illegal turn, police said the truck driver could also possibly face OVI charges.
