I-70 West Is Now Open

Zanesville, OH- The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency said a portion of I-70 west was closed in Zanesville, Wednesday morning.

An accident took place at the Maple Avenue exit. The accident closed I-70 west between State Street and Maple Avenue until the scene has been cleaned up.

The closure also backed up traffic in downtown Zanesville, Underwood Street, Adair, State Street and Blue Avenue.

Traffic will be slow as traffic begins to move through the area.
