Accident on I-70 West near the Underwood Exit

Zanesville, Ohio--According to Muskingum County EMA Director Jeff Jadwin, I-70 Westbound near mile marker 155 in Zanesville is currently closed to traffic due to an oversized load traveling through the construction zone.

Jadwin said the vehicle knocked over several light poles and will need to be removed in reverse to avoid further damage to additional light poles and the construction zone.

There is no estimate at this time when this portion of the interstate will re-open.
