Accident Sends Four to Hospital

Four women were taken to the hospital around 10:30 Sunday night after an accident at the intersection of State Route 37 and State Route 310 outside of Pataskala.

According to the Licking Post of the State Highway Patrol 61-year-old Lillian Weakly of Newark was traveling east on State Route 37 when a westbound car driven by 32-year-old Bobbi Powell of Granville attempted to turn left onto State Route 310.

Weakly’s vehicle struck Powell’s in the passenger side. Weakly was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital and then transferred. Powell was taken to Grant Hospital in Columbus.

Two passengers in Powell’s car were also hospitalized, 21-year-old Lelah Sparks of Heath was taken by med-flight to the Ohio State University Medical Center and 22-year-old Maranda Robertson of Heath was taken to Grant.

The accident is still under investigation.
