Accident Sends Two to Hospital

A head-on accident in New Lexington shuts down a road for more than an hour.

It happened around 5 p.m. on State Route 13, near Melon Hill Road.

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation. An emergency worker at the scene said two people were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The road was shut down for a quarter-mile while crews cleared the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
