Adamsville Rd. Accident

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A two vehicle traffic accident occurred at the Eastbound Interstate 70 and Adamsville Road intersection around Noon today.
Muskingum County Emergency Management Director Jeff Jadwin said a sedan that was exiting the interstate attempted a right hand turn too quickly and collided with a commercial vehicle before coming to rest against and damaging a traffic sign.
“The driver did have a head injury but was talking to everybody. So he was transported to Genesis and the wreckers are just in the process of cleaning it up. We got a lot of vehicle fluids on the roadway that we got to take care of. So being that it’s a commercial vehicle, Motor Carrier’s here to inspect the commercial vehicle,” Jadwin said.
The sedan received extensive damage and the box van received a damaged transmission fluid cooler. Both vehicles needed to be towed. Traffic was able to proceed around the collision until the intersection was cleared and repaired.
