Adulting is Hard! Adulting 101 Workshop This Week
ZANESVILLE, OH – Although the library is currently undergoing construction, that has not stopped them from teaming up with the Ohio University Zanesville campus to empower those in their community.
The Muskingum County Library is set to continue their adulting 101 informative program. This week’s workshop is titled ‘Ready to Rent,’ and is designed to equip young adults with the essential knowledge and skills for renting their first home or apartment.
Alyssa Fisher, the assistant teen librarian, says she’s excited to be a part of this program.
“Adulting 101 is like a series of programs where we will introduce topics that are difficult for people or something that we feel we can offer new resources to better equip them with the knowledge on how to be a better adult.”
The Ready to Rent workshop is an hour-long event that will offer insights and tips to help participants navigate the rental process with confidence. Some topics include, understanding rental agreements and tenant rights, budgeting and financial management for rental living, as well as tips for finding the right rental property for you.
“We have two presenters, one is Lee Hetrick of Lepi & Associate. The other is Jenny Reichley, a personal financial coach,” Fisher said. “Both of them will be putting their skill sets together in order to give people good information and resources on how to be better renters”
Ready to Rent will take place this Thursday, November 21st from 4:30-5:30p.m. While this is a free event, spaces are limited. You can register online by visiting the Muskingum County Library website or you can call the number 740-453-0391 extension 115 and someone will be able to help you with registration.
