AEP Now Says 2:30 p.m. For Power
American Electric Power is now saying it will be 2:30 p.m. before all Muskingum County customers are back on line.
Company officials said it all started around 1 a.m. after crews discovered a malfunctioning transformer sub-station off of Linden Avenue and were forced to shut it down.
5,000 customers were left without power at one time. Now, AEP say its about 2,500.
A mobile transformer is being installed as a temporary fix to get customers back on line quicker. Intially AEP said power would be restored by 12 noon.
